YMCA Yorkshire Coast would like to welcome Roy O’Shaughnessy as National Chair of YMCA England and Wales who took the position on the 15th July 2023. We wish to congratulate Roy on his appointment and all of our blessings as he continues the work of the National Council to support Local YMCAs.
In welcoming Roy we also have to say a farewell to Reg Bailey who stands down as National Chair. Denise Hatton, CEO of YMCA England and Wales said : “His good grace, wise counsel, kind manner and understanding will be much missed. Reg has steered National Council through some turbulent times, not least the Covid pandemic, and has been a true colleague and friend to many across our Federation.”
I’m sure all of at YMCA Yorkshire Coast will join together to welcome Roy and as we do so say thank you to Reg.
