Register now for our open auditions for YMCA Productions Christmas Cracker

Performance Dates

Friday 8th December at 7:30pm

Saturday 9th December at 2pm

Saturday 9th December at 7:30pm

Sunday 10th December at 2pm

Rehearsal Dates

Rehearsals start on the 28th September and run every Thursday and Friday

Rehearsals are 6.30pm- 9.30pm, as the show nears rehearsals will be until 10pm.

You may not need to attend every rehearsal, there may also be additional rehearsals which will be told to you asap. This might include some Sundays

A rehearsal schedule will be given to you, please note that magic booking will show rehearsals you might not actually need to attend.

Please read consent carefully on our sign-up forms, you must consent to your child performing on stage to participate in this activity.

Participation Fees

In response to feedback regarding paying for rehearsals that cast members don’t attend, the participation fee for cracker will be different this year.

For each rehearsal you attend there will be a fee of £3, this is payable at reception. Later in the month, you will also be able to pay online.

There is no fee for auditions, attendance at events, technical & dress rehearsals nor the performances.

If the participation fee would prevent you from taking part, please let us know.

Friday 15th September – Arrive at 6pm at the Community Desk

Everyone who wishes to take part should attend this audition

You will take part in a dance workshop that will be shown to you at the audition and then a singing workshop of a song from the production. You will then need to sing a solo song if you wish to be considered for a solo singing role in the production. If not, you do not need to do this section of the audition and are free to leave.

This song can be anything you like but please try to keep it below 3/4 minutes, it must not be explicit.

You can bring the song on a mobile device (make sure you have an adapter for a headphone jack), a memory stick or on a CD. Please do not have the track on YouTube, Spotify is fine.

You can also email a mp3 or wav file in advance to info@ymcayorks.uk, marked with your name and which show you are auditioning for. Do not email us a link, we won’t click it.
