
This is our first year presenting the “Celebration of YMCA” awards. This will be a great night of entertainment and celebrating what is best about our local community. We have one group award and four individual awards.
Below you can read the description of each award carefully and then nominate anyone you think is deserving of an award!

The Holly Dresser Award
In memory of Holly Dresser;
This award is for a person who is able to demonstrate their commitment to the work of the YMCA, this person will have gone above and beyond in the community and demonstrated the core value of the YMCA.

Volunteer of the Year
This award recognises a dedicated volunteer who has shown outstanding commitment to YMCA and contributed energy, skills and time
Young Achiever of the Year
This award recognises the exceptional achievements of a young person who has overcome significant obstacles to make a real difference in their own life or their community.
A young person is defined as someone who is under 30
The Values Award
YMCA Yorkshire Coasts Values are:

This award is given to a person who has demonstrated a commitment to one or more of the values of YMCA Yorkshire Coast.
We use the term project for our group award, but this can be any company, class or group that demonstrates a benefit to our community or young people, even if they do so for profit.
To be nominated that group must be based at YMCA Yorkshire Coast, be run by YMCA Yorkshire Coast or use a YMCA Yorkshire Coast facility such as YMCA Theatre.
Project of the Year
Is awarded to a project, company or class that has made a real positive difference to our community
